Summary:

We are in search of an adept and motivated Microsoft Technology Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess an extensive understanding of various Microsoft products, including Active Directory, Azure Cloud, M365 email, and related technologies. This role is geared toward senior-level technical deployment, requiring the ability to configure intricate servers/setups from scratch and conduct advanced troubleshooting within these environments.

GBB is a prominent system integrator supporting over 600 customers across diverse areas such as network, storage, virtualization, backup, public cloud, security, high-performance computing, and open-source. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with multiple SMEs in various fields while serving as the Microsoft technologies SME within GBB.

Responsibilities:

• Active Directory
  • Implement and maintain Group Policy Objects.
  • Help with CIS Level 1 or higher hardening of AD servers and other Windows servers
  • Perform Active Directory migrations and deployments from older 2012 / 2016 AD/forest level to more modern 2019 / 2022 versions.
  • Troubleshoot Active Directory-related issues especially while integrating AD with firewall, email, other applications for authentication
  • WSUS or other patch management (eg manage engine) deployment, configuration and management
  • ADFS deployment and support for integration with application
  • Integration between on-prem active directory and Azure AD / M365 login

• Azure Cloud
  • Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure and services
  • Migrate on-prem workloads to Azure or vice-versa
  • Manage Azure security and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot Azure-related issues.
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory (AD) Connect and hybrid identity solutions is a plus.
• On-prem Exchange or M365 Email
  • Implement and maintain email security policies including spam filtering, malware protection, phishing protection, etc.
  • Troubleshoot email-related issues such as failure of email delivery, SPF / DMARC / DKIM, etc.
  • Expertise with Microsoft end-point manager, entra admin center, Exchange Online etc. is expected as part of this role
• Other Microsoft Technologies
  • Provide support for other Microsoft technologies, such as Office 365, Windows Servers (File servers, RDSH servers, etc.) and Microsoft Teams related issues.
  • Experience with Hyper-V based Virtualization with high availability, clustered-disks etc.
  • Experience with setting up physical NTP servers which sync time with upstream cloud / Microsoft NTP while providing NTP services to downstream Windows clients
  • Microsoft clustering especially always-on clustering with MS-SQL with a added advantage
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Microsoft technologies and best practices.
  • Experience with FSLogix Profile will be preferred

Selected individual is expected to:

• Document procedures and processes.
• Research and implement new solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT infrastructure being managed
• Collaborate with other IT team members on projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with Microsoft technologies in a professional setting.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, Azure cloud services, and M365 email.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.
• Existing certifications on above Microsoft technologies will be a definitive advantage.
• While experience with sharepoint, powershell and other automation on Microsoft platforms is not a strict requirement, people having these skills can also apply.
