We are looking for an onsite structured cabling engineer with 3-6 years of experience specializing in designing, implementing, and maintaining structured cabling systems for various customers & facilities. The candidate is expected to play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and reliable transmission of data, voice, and video signals across a network infrastructure.

Here are the Key Responsibilities for the ideal candidate:

Designing and Planning:
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and network designers to understand network requirements and objectives.
• Apply your knowledge and experience to create detailed structured cabling designs and plans, including cable pathways, equipment layout, and network configurations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as TIA/EIA and BICSI, and local regulations as required.

Installation and Implementation:
• Independently perform installation, termination, and testing of copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related network equipment.
• Efficiently mount and configure network racks, cabinets, and patch panels.
• Conduct cable pulling, dressing, labelling, and cable management to ensure a clean and organized installation.
• Utilize your troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve any issues during the installation process.

Documentation and Reporting:
• Create accurate as-built documentation of the installed cabling system, including drawings, diagrams, and test results.
• Use your experience to maintain comprehensive records of cable routes, labeling, and connectivity information.
• Generate reports on project progress, issues encountered, and recommendations for improvement.

Project Management:
• Work closely with project team members to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
• Leverage your experience to estimate material and labor requirements for cabling projects.
• Monitor project timelines and communicate updates and potential delays.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:
• Apply your knowledge of industry best practices and quality standards to ensure the highest level of installation and testing.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in structured cabling systems and provide suggestions for improvement.

Skills and Qualifications(Must have):
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field is preferred.
• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in designing, installing, and maintaining structured cabling systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting network diagrams, floor plans, and blueprints.
• Experience with network infrastructure components, including copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, patch panels, and racks.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues efficiently.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

Additional Skills (not a mandate to have, but candidates with the below skills would be preferred over others) :
• Proficient in using testing tools and equipment, such as Fluke testing & optical time-domain reflectometers (OTDRs).
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices, such as TIA/EIA and BICSI.
• Certification in structured cabling systems (e.g., BICSI RCDD, CDCD)

Soft Skills:

• Good written, oral, and presentation communication
• Must be willing to travel in and around Hyderabad.
• Should understand the 24×7 support nature of our work
• Should understand start-up kind of role where we would expect him to learn new technologies frequently and also help out with other tasks such as Level 1 interview for hiring.
• Should have excellent customer interfacing skills
• Should be good at time management & should have the ability & desire to learn new skills.
• Should have good analytical/problem-solving skills

Experience– in years (mentioned above) is not a mandate as long as the candidate matches the above set of skill-set irrespective of years of experience & those who are doing freelancing or consultancy on Structured Cabling at present can even apply.

Salary– Would range between Rs 25,000/Month – Rs 55,000.00/month (Note- We will be flexible here based on experience and skills)
